With the development of modern science & technology and industry, the development of data acquisition system, beyond the geographical diversification, quantitative, data acquisition of complicated environment, and thenetwork technology developping fastly. The local data coolection already cannot satisfy the need of practical application, therefore, To achieve the intelligent management, automatic protection, unmanned machine room and remote monitoring of diesel generating sets, the networked and distributed digital acquisition system are organized by the organic combination of computer technology and network technology. In view of the installation positions of the generating set is scattered and the important purpose of the generating set, to achieve the intelligent management, automatic protection, unattended, remote monitoring and other functions of the generating set are realized.
In order to save operating costs and fulfill the remote monitoring to the generating sets, the wireless GSM mobile network can be used to monitor the generating sets remotely and build up a better, faster and safer wide area network platform. To achieve "three remote" functions of the diesel generating set, including the monitoring of various parameters of the engine, such as: current, voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, rotate speed, power, etc. and switch position state (Manual, Shutdown, Automatic), remote start ot stop the engine. Engine alarm can be timely feedback to the remote monitoring center, and the operator will be informed timely and know the problem and its position, measures will be taken to avoid the accidents.
Solutions and Features
To achieve the intelligent management, automatic protection, unmanned machine room and remote monitoring of diesel generating sets, the networked and distributed digital acquisition system are organized by the organic combination of computer technology and network technology.
1.On the site, a set of new intelligent control system is added to the generating set independently, and synchronized with the original control system (remark: New control system will be used as prime system, and the original system will be used as standby system).
2.Remote monitoring terminal connect with the generating sets system (remarks: dial-up to access the monitored generator through wireless MODEM)by wireless GSM network. (remarks: Dial-up to access the monitored generating set by wireless modem during the connection ). The Static and dynamic parameters of generating sets will be displayed on the terminal computer after successful connection. Genset can be started and stopped remotely. 3. For mobile phone monitoring: Dial-up to access the monitored generating set on site , the monitored generating set will pack the parameters up and send it to the mobile after the access signal has been received, parameters display shown as below:
Introduction
The system is in SMS wake up pending status after startup, it requires the user send text messages to active it according to the previous parameters setting and connect the data center of the user by PPP dial-up automatically PPP dial-up. The user data center will set up a TCP link and encapsulate the data into TCP packets from serial port and send it to the user's data center automatically. The system will return to pending status after the data transmission is finished and offline instruction was sent to the DTU by the data center, see flowchart below:
Function Overview
1.Remote computer monitoring: Achieve real-time monitoring parameter modification, reading record history of the generator sets by using wireless GSM network to connect generating sets control system and monitoring center.
2.Monitoring by Mobile phone short message, monitoring the status of the generator set through the real time communication through mobile phone SIM card and SIM card on the generating set.
3.The cost are only the SMS charge or call charges between the 2 SIM cards.
